JANUARY 2018 – East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) held an in-house training session for Valley Interior System crews from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Valley Interior Systems will be working on six of ECMS’ upcoming jobs and asked to bring in the crews who have been as-signed to these jobs to have a professional training session to become more educated and gain experience so that each of these projects are executed efficiently.
The full-day training session consisted of two parts, concepts and building relationships in a class room setting and hands-on replications of on-the-job experiences. During the hands-on training, crews had to unload supplies, read shop drawings, and install metal wall panels on wall fixtures with built-in problems that each team had to overcome. ECMS project managers Tony Lemmon and Lou Steimer instructed the classes and were there for the duration of the training to help and answer questions.
Monte Meyer, Field Superintendent for Valley Interior Systems, also attended the training. “This has been one of the best trainings I have ever been involved with. Tony and Lou answered so many questions and even helped clarify problems that have occurred on our projects in the past.”
Valley Interior Systems hopes to be able to attend additional training sessions in the future along with ECMS. Great job to everyone involved from ECMS, and keep up the good work!
