ECMS Vice President Presents at MetalCon

Congratulations goes to the Vice President of East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS), John Trifonoff, who was invited to speak at MetalCon this year.

MetalCon is the only annual international event that offers education and product exhibits focused on the use of metal in construction. Designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators and suppliers from more than 50 countries attend this event, and industry experts from more than 250 leading companies exhibit the latest products and technology.

The presentation was sponsored by the Metal Construction Association, through which ECMS is a Certified Premium MCM Fabricator.

John spoke on the various uses for Metal Composite Material (MCM) and how it is incorporated into creative design, pointing out the versatile range of its customizable features, such as limitless color, finish and material options. He also expanded on the extreme versatility of MCM when it comes to executing complex architectural design.

ECMS is one of 8 MCM Premium Fabricators in North America.

MCA Announces MCM Alliance

East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) is an active member of the Metal Construction Association (MCA) with Engineering Manager, John Hyde, on the Technical Committee.

The MCA recently announced the formation of a brand new MCM Alliance dedicated to increasing awareness of Metal Composite Material (MCM) for the architectural building envelope, which ECMS is now involved with.

“We are seeing MCM used everywhere,” said John. “It’s important that architects and builders are aware of its versatility and the benefits of using MCM over many other materials on the market. It can be customized by shape, size, texture, color, thickness, and application method, so the possibilities are virtually limitless.”

Leadership West Virginia Tours ECMS

On Thursday, August 1, East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) welcomed the 2019 class of professionals from Leadership West Virginia to tour its 60,000-square-foot metal fabrication facility at the Highlands in Triadelphia, WV.

“Leadership WV is a great program designed to educate and motivate participants regarding the strengths and challenges throughout industries across the entire state,” said ECMS VP John Trifonoff. “We were proud to share who we are and represent a large sector of the metal industry.”

2019 MetalCon Presentation

In October, Vice President of East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) John Trifonoff will deliver two presentations during the 2019 MetalCon tradeshow at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

John will be speaking about The Limitless Applications of MCM in the construction industry by discussing its versatility in achieving virtually any desired aesthetic.

The presentation is being sponsored by the Metal Construction Association, through which ECMS is a Certified Premium MCM Fabricator.

Congratulations John!

Fabrication Training

DLSS Manufacturing Owner Austin Davis and Zac Zellers with Alberici Construction visited East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) to provide in-house training to ECMS employees in order to prepare for an upcoming project at St. Louis University Hospital Medical Campus.

The training demonstrated how to properly apply a lacquer and bend copper panels to avoid crazing the edges and exposing the copper through the pre-patinaed finish. DLSS Manufacturing applied the finish and wanted to make sure our crews were able to properly bend the copper without causing any damage to the finish. Every effort was made to avoid potential fabrication issues.

Altogether, ECMS is fabricating approximately 16,000 square feet of materials — 1,100 panels of custom patinaed finish and 200 ACM panels with a custom bronze finish.

We sincerely appreciate DLSS Manufacturing and Alberici Construction for taking the time to exhibit quality control efforts on this project and ensure customer satisfaction!

Local High School Tours ECMS

JUNE 2019 – Wheeling Park High School (WPHS) students were given the opportunity to tour the 60,000-square-foot East Coast Metal Systems (ECMS) metal fabrication facility in Triadelphia, West Virginia.

During the tour, students were able to learn more about the daily operations of ECMS and the construction industry. The entire ECMS team was excited to educate the students about the various metal industry career opportunities that await these students upon graduation.

We hope to continue to provide opportunities for students from other local schools to demonstrate the opportunities that await right here in the Ohio Valley.
